These are exciting times for pickup truck enthusiasts, as we’re finally seeing manufacturers picking up the pace in the electric-truck market. These trucks are worlds apart in design and technology. Which one will be best for you?

In this comparison review, we’ll discuss the features of the Ford F 150 Lightning, Vancouver and the Tesla Cybertruck. Read further and find out everything there is to know!

Exterior

Exterior

The exterior design of these two trucks is like comparing night to day. The Cybertruck looks like a battle machine out of a science fiction movie. Maybe Tesla knows about some doomsday event approaching us? The Ford F 150 has subtle futuristic touches without making the vehicle look like it’s going off to war somewhere on the moon.

Pricing

Pricing

The Ford F 150 Lightning is a full-size two-electric-motor pickup that can be bought in four trims. The Cyberduck comes in three motor configurations. There’s a huge price range between the entry-level trims and top-level trims for these vehicles. Both vehicles have an entry-level price in the range of $40,000 as per the recommended MSRP.

Interior

Interior

In the Tesla Cybertruck, there are no buttons to speak of. The driver only has access to a steering yoke and a 17-inch touchscreen display that controls all vehicle functions. The Ford F 150 has all the bells and whistles, with an array of buttons on the steering wheel and throughout the driver’s cockpit and a centre touchscreen display. The Ford has an 18 speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system. Tesla has not yet released what sound system will be installed in the Cybertruck.

Technology

The Ford F 150 Lightning Platinum will be the only trim level available with Ford Co-pilot 360, BlueCruise, and Active Park. BlueCruise will enable you to remove your hands from the steering wheel while still keeping an eye on the road. This system will have limited access and will only be available on some highways. With Ford’s Active Park Assist, your pickup truck will also be able to scan for parking spots, parallel park, handle steering, shift, accelerate, and brake while you supervise all these actions.

The Cybertruck will have the Tesla Autopilot system. This system assists the driver by enabling the vehicle to accelerate, brake, and keep in its lane. The Full-Self Driving system upgrade will allow the vehicle to drive independently with no human intervention.
