2020 Ford F-150 vs 2020 Toyota Tundra

2020 Ford F-150 vs 2020 Toyota Tundra

For years, the Ford-F-150 has been one of the most sought-after trucks on the market. While we know that it is one impressive truck, how does it stack up to its competitors? To answer this question, here is a full comparison of the 2020 Ford F-150 and the 2020 Toyota Tundra.

Interior Features

The interior of the F-150 was built specifically with comfort and practicality in min. The interior offers several storage bins, including storage units built-into the driver and front passenger door. When you opt for the crew cab or extended cab, your back seat passengers will have plenty of legroom and headspace.

The F-150 also allows you to turn the cabin into a portable office. With an oversized centre console and two USB ports to charge your electronic devices, you can comfortably work on your tablet or laptop while sitting inside the cab.

The Toyota Tundra also offers an extended cab and a crew cab version, however, both of those options don't offer as much room for the back seat passengers as the F-150 does.

Advanced Technology

The F-150 is equipped with the latest technology to help make your driving experience easier. The pickup truck comes with an available Ford Co-Pilot 360 system that provides many safety and convenient features. Some of the features that the Co-Pilot system comes equipped with are:

  • Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Coverage
  • Blind-Spot Information system
  • Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Lane-Keep Assist
  • Rear View Camera with 60 coverage
  • Automatic High Beams

The Toyota Tundra doesn't offer some of these features. It does, however, offer a reverse camera but it does not come equipped with a 360-degree view coverage.

Power and performance

No matter what kind of performance you are looking to get out of your truck, the F-150 has an engine that is sure to suit your needs. This year, the F-150 offers six different engine options. The truck comes standard with a 3.5-litre EcoBoost engine that is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and is capable of delivering 375 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque.

The F-150 also has several other powerful engines available, including, a 250 horsepower 3.0-litre Power Stroke Turbo Diesel, a 2.7-litre turbocharged EcoBoost engine, and a 5.0-litre V8 engine that delivers 395 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque.

The Tundra does not give nearly as many engine options, and their standard engine is not quite as powerful as the F-150's standard engine.

The Ford F-150 is both tough and versatile. That is one of the main reasons that it has been the best-selling truck in North America for over 50 years and will continue to be one of the most sought-after trucks for years to come.
