2011 MUSTANG ROUSH STAGE 2

The 2011 ROUSH® Stage 2 Mustang is designed to turn that daily commute into a slalom course by greatly improving the handling characteristics of the base chassis. The ROUSH chassis engineering team has driven tens of thousands of miles on the streets and racetracks to create the optimum blend of comfort and handling. A ROUSH wheel hop reduction kit will be included with all vehicles that have the upgraded ROUSH suspension package installed at the factory.

Just like in years past, the 2011 ROUSH Stage 2 Mustang also includes an appearance package which is comprised of several components such as a new front fascia and front splitter, rear fascia, side splitters, and a three-piece rear wing.

The new rear fascia is a one-piece design which improves the fit and finish; the part is injection-molded by ROUSH Manufacturing in an OEM-level TPO plastic which, in the black color with decorative grain, will help reduce rock chips. The vehicle rides on 18-inch cast chrome wheels with high-performance Cooper Zeon tires, with a 20-inch cast chrome wheel as an available option.

The heart of the 2011 ROUSH Stage 2 Mustang is the all-new Ford 5.0L, V-8 engine. Nicknamed "Coyote" during the development phase, this powerplant generates 412 horsepower (and 390 lb.-ft. of torque), yet still can obtain 26 MPG on the highway. Employing twin independent variable camshaft timing (TiVCT) and cold air induction, the new 2011 Mustang engines deliver more power, greater off-the-line low-end torque - and increased fuel efficiency. There's no such thing as compromise for these ponies.

The number 427 has been intertwined in the Ford product line for many years, both as a car model and one of the most powerful and legendary engines in their line.  It is only natural that ROUSH, as perhaps the best Ford engine builder in the country, is the company to reintroduce the number to the automotive lexicon using modern engine technology.

Based on the acclaimed ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang, this version is slightly less in content but includes 100 percent of the fun factor.  The 427R horsepower package is highlighted by the intercooled ROUSHcharger* system which adds 135 horsepower and 65 lb-ft of torque to the base Ford 4.6L, 3-valve V8 powertrain system.  The additional power upgrade comes via a ROUSH-engineered ECM calibration which has been specially-tuned to work in harmony with the different exhaust system used on the vehicle.  The resulting total power rating for this vehicle is 435hp and 400 lb-ft of torque.

Further adding to the style and performance of the 2008 ROUSH 427R is a four-piece aerobody kit which includes a stylized front fascia, front chin spoiler, hood scoop and rear wing and ROUSH 18-inch cast chrome wheels with high-performance tires and the special 427R striping kit.

2010 ROUSH 540RH Mustang

ROUSH's new 540RH Mustang features a 540 horsepower powerplant and has limited content. Also known as the Hammer®, this car comes armed with massive horsepower, a ROUSH® rear decklid spoiler, and short throw shifter with a choice of white or black ball, the 540RH is a stoplight slayer.

Proving just how quick this car can be on the optional 18-inch Cooper RS3 tires, ROUSH engineers recorded an 11.8-second elapsed time at 121 mph during testing at Milan (Mich.) Dragway in early September.

"The new ROUSH® 540RH is really intended to be a 'sleeper' car," Roush explained. "It will be purposely built with minimal content as it was designed for the buyer who wanted the ROUSH® horsepower but with a blank canvas that can be customized into their own personal one-of-a-kind ride."

The 2010 ROUSH® 540RH has a new suspension package which includes front and rear springs, front and rear stabilizer bars and jounce bumper, and a subtle tone-on-tone striping package. This vehicle uses the same engine that debuted in the 2009 ROUSH® P-51B? Mustang. In order to get this type of power from the Ford 4.6L, 3-valve engine, ROUSH technicians replace many of the internal components with stronger parts including forged aluminum pistons (with an increased dish to lower the compression ratio from 9.8 to 8.6), forged steel H-Beam connecting rods and a forged steel crankshaft. The fuel rails are changed, as are the fuel injectors and an upgraded fuel pump. ROUSH® also upgrades the clutch and includes a custom-calibration for the ECM to manage the performance of the next-generation R2300 ROUSHcharger®.

As is standard with all new ROUSH® Mustangs, this car will come with the anti-wheel hop kit installed during the assembly process. This part (No. 401788) is an outstanding addition to any 2005-2010 Ford Mustang GT.

This vehicle is covered by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty and will be available with a manual transmission only.

2009 ROUSH P-51B Mustang
ONLY 51 IN THE WORLD

The ROUSH® P-51A was one of the most anticipated and sought-after Mustangs in the company's history. Following up on that successful launch, ROUSH in pleased to announce a P-51B model based on the 2009 chassis. This aeronautical themed Mustang will be limited to just 51 serialized units, each with 510 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque.

The ROUSH® technicians go under the hood and replace many of the internal components in the P-51B such as swapping to a forged aluminum pistons with an increased dish to lower the compression ration from 9.8 to 8.6, forged steel H-Beam connecting rods and a forged steel crankshaft. The fuel rails are changed, as are the fuel injectors and an upgraded fuel pump. ROUSH® also adds a secondary Sheave FEAD, upgrades the clutch and includes a custom-calibration for the ECM. The new six-piston brakes will provide the necessary stopping power. The P-51B will be available in the Vapor color Coupe model only with a five-speed manual transmission.

Cues to the legendary World War II fighter plane can be found throughout the ROUSH® P-51B Mustang.
